1 Corinthians 1:10-13 "Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now I say this, that each of you says, “I am of Paul,” or “I am of Apollos,” or “I am of Cephas,” or “I am of Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided?"

Looking into the world today among the different groups that are based on Christianity it would seem that the answer to the apostles question would be yes.  The problem with this is that the question Paul asks is supposed to be rhetorical giving a 'no' answer.  According to the "World Christian Encyclopedia" there are 30000+ denominations within Christianity and so even though it may seem as though Paul was wrong, in reality Christ is absolutely not divided.  Notice that Paul still maintained that Christ was united regardless of the men who said they were of Paul, Apollos, or of Cephas.  And so the problem is not with God, the Bible, or with Jesus but with men.  Christ is not divided, but men divide themselves against Christ when they choose to follow after the teachings of men that cannot be found within God's word.

The purpose of this site is to simply look at what the Bible does say so that we may as Paul writes to be of "the same mind and in the same judgment."  In 1 Timothy 1:4 Paul writes that when we teach other doctrines instead of causing unity they "cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith."  When it comes to matters of spirituality and the things that we teach we must as 1 Peter 4:11 says "If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God."  It is further not the intention of this website to attack, ridicule or make light of anyone but to help you understand how important, even imperative, it is to understand, believe and follow the truth.  Jesus tells us in"If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)"
